4 months

as of yesterday jackson is four months old!  while this post is a day late, i did take his four month pics on the actual day.  that counts right?  but today is in need of some cheery pictures, its so cold, gross, and rainy outside.

"i'm only four months old but i can whistle, see?"

he sees the little beagle

he's going for it

he's got it!

droooool

sweet success!

sorry for the picture overload but its so hard to choose which pictures to post, i mean look at this guy!

this is the face that says, "mom, i have the hiccups and this is picture #50 (literally) can we call it quits now? i think me at four months has been adequately documented"

i say this every month, but jackson is so fun.  i think that compared to last month it is easy to tell that he is even more alert and playful at four months old.  he is able to reach for toys well (and then put them in his mouth of course!) and can sit well in the bumbo seat but not on his own yet.  jackson is making all sorts of new noises and is a rather energetic little guy.  (as i typed that he squealed unexpectedly over the monitor.) he kind of talks to himself sometimes and kicks his legs constantly.  he’s been able to roll over for a couple of weeks now but we haven’t seen him do it but just a couple of times but i often find him in crazy positions in his crib.  sometimes i think rolling over in his crib wake hims up.  yay.  he stays awake for at least an hour 1/2 during the day before he needs a nap.  the past week has been…interesting.  he started waking up at night, even several times a night and i’m trying to figure out why.  i feed him the first time and then if he wakes up after that i give him his paci which seems to work.  growth spurt?  teething?  rolling over too much?  all of the above?

while it is difficult to not really know what jackson needs or what is going on with him, and yes i miss sleeping through the night.  i also know that this little guy grows and changes so quickly that i know we’ll be sleeping more again soon.

oh yeah, one more thing.  he loves tv.  we’re working on that.  :)
