preparing for hibernation
yesterday was my last day of work. knowing that my work responsibilities are finished for the time being has made me even more excited about my new role as mom. for a while now i’ve been wanting to just focus on our home, taking care of travis, and getting ready for our baby boy. now its like at a whole new level of nesting! i went to target (again) on the way home to “stock up”. i went to target for three (1-2-3 ) items. and left with $107 worth of things we “needed”. i found myself walking all over the store trying to make sure that we had everything we needed since of course after the baby comes we can’t make a trip to the store. my purchases included brownie mix, frozen food, a surplus of cheddar cheese and a value pack of toothpaste, among other things. and oh yes, every soon-to-be first time mom needs a double pack of mascara. i should not fail to mention that when i went to put away the soap i had bought for travis i realized that i had recently bought not one but two other new 3-packs of soap. he should be clean for a long time.
i have now decided that i cannot go to target until after the baby is born. or maybe i will send travis. i know for sure that for now i just want to stay home, not drive, and stay away from large stores.
oh yeah, and i forgot to buy eggs.

Target is a black hole for my $$! I went in yesterday to get shampoo. That’s it…shampoo. And I came out with a brand new regimen for my skincare. Wrinkle prevention is all the rage for 25-yr olds, I hear.
Oh and if you haven’t been sucked into HomeGoods yet…stay far, far away. -Becca
